Detachable controller
The controller is separated from the main unit for flexible installation. The controller has magnets on the rear panel, it allows the controller to attach to the main unit or other metal objects. Clean
and neat installation can be made easier.

Compact body with large display
The ID-880H/E880 has a compact body and a 64×20.7 mm large LCD display offering an excellent viewing angle suitable for mobile operation. The backlight color of the display is selectable from green, yellow and amber for your visual enjoyment.
50W output power in both VHF and UHF band
A MOS-FET power amplifier provides a powerful 50W* both in the 144MHz and the 430(440) MHz bands, making this compact rig capable of long distance communication! Output power is selectable in 3 steps. * 25W for Taiwan version.
High speed scan
The ID-880H/E880 has a Max. 50 channel/sec. high speed scan capability in program scan mode (Max. 20 channels/ sec. in memory scan mode). This scanning power allows the utmost efficiencywhen searching a wide frequency range.
Three type noise filter
The built-in noise filter reduces high pitch noise for AM and FM mode reception. The noise filterwidth is selectable from wide, middle and narrow. The auto setting allows you to select the filterwidth according to the signal strength.

Switchable VHF/UHF dual bander
The IC-80AD/E80D and ID-880H/E880 provide VHF/UHF dual band capabilities (one band at a time)via a simple band switching system.
Wideband receiver
The IC-80AD/E80D and ID-880H/E880 have a wideband receiver as a standard feature. The IC-80AD/E80D series covers 0.495–999.99MHz* and the ID-880H/E880 covers 118–173.995,
230–549.995 and 810–999.990MHz.* You will be able to listen to aviation, marine, weather channelsand other utility communications*.

Total 1052 memory channels
The IC-80AD/E80D and ID-880H/E880 have a total 1052 memory channels (including 1000 regularchannels, 50 scan edges and 2 call channels) with 26 memory banks. All memory channels andprogram scan can be named with 8-character channel comments. Also a memory bank can benamed with a 6-character bank name comment.

Built-in CTCSS/DTCS encoder and decoder
Built-in CTCSS and DTCS tones are used for accessing a closed repeater or tone squelch operation.The pocket beep alerts you with a beep sound when the transceiver receives a preset tone 1750Hz tone is also available.
